We are adults and children; singles, couples and families; working and retired people; Maine Maritime students, faculty and administration; year-round and summer residents of Castine and the surrounding areas. We are a Eucharistic community celebrating God's presence in our lives and seeking to share God's love in Christ with each other. We seek to serve our families, our civic institutions, our workplaces and those in need in our community and in the world. Our spirituality is Anglican-one that thrives on liturgy with beauty and grace, adopts an open-minded and searching approach to faith, and reaches out in compassion to others.

  • Small Group Study in October
  • Growing Old: What now? You are invited. We will gather as a small group of growing-older-folk and talk about growing older, about growing old. What are the delights and the dilemmas, the peaks and the potholes; or as Joan Chittister notes, the burdens and the blessings of aging? If each age has its tasks and its meaning, what are the tasks and meaning of old age? How do we claim them and live them into them with grace? The Rev. Peg & Dr. Jim Thomas will co-facilitate a discussion group about aging for members of Trinity Church, Castine, and St. Francis Church, Blue Hill. The group will meet October 9, 16 and 23 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Thomas home in Penobscot. The group will be limited to 8 participants. While this is not a book discussion group, participants are encouraged to read The Gift of Years: Growing Older Gracefully by Joan Chittister.
